James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Studios, is the light at the end of the tunnel for the DC right now. Considering the performance of some of the most recent DC projects underperformed last year, and this led to the disappointment of millions of fans of the universe. However, with Gunn and Peter Safran preparing to reboot the universe, fans have a newfound hope to see their favorite franchise flourish again.
It is no secret that James Gunn is an ardent fan of the DC Comics. Every once in a while, he goes on an interaction spree with fans on Instagram threads or X (formerly Twitter). He often drops off hints which keep the fans on their toes. He has gone and done it once again, and it has effectively sent fans into a frenzy.
James Gunn Has Dropped-off A Major Hint Regarding DCU Leaks
James Gunn and Peter Safran assumed their positions as the co-CEOs of DC Studios (rebranded from DC Films) in November 2022. Their advice to David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, during his hunt for a new head for DC Films, impressed Zaslav so much that he decided to appoint them.
So far, the franchise has not seen much progress or profit, but Safran and Gunn are evidently working hard to make it come to fruition. The X account DCU Leaks, which reports on leaks about the franchise, made some claims. When James Gunn went on his interaction spree recently, a fan smartly took the opportunity to ask for his comment on those.
These claims were as follows:

Gunn answered (via Threads) the fan’s query but it was as vague as one could think. He wrote:
“AT LEAST one of those things is not true. Have fun guessing! 😂🫡🧜♂️”
While this did not clarify much, fans are trying to do their best to decode whatever Gunn said. The Guardians of the Galaxy director’s answer was as diplomatic as most major franchise leaders do.

“A lot of dancing people died first season. A new intro with new characters will be coming.”
The director also confirmed (via Threads) that Danielle Brooks’ Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee’s John Economos will all return for Peacemaker Season 2.
