Apart from a lot of humor and banter between them with Jost being a comedic writer, the Match Point star stressed the need for communication, while also embracing the concept of opposing personalities attracting each other. Speaking to CBS Mornings, Johansson said,

“I’m married to a writer, he’s a comedy writer. He can get, like, very in his head sometimes, he’s sort of introverted. I’m extroverted, and so I think the key for us is just always checking in, just asking at the end of the day, ‘How was your day?'”

Johansson and Jost have also valued their personal life greatly, and have managed to keep it under wraps, apart from the rare occasions when they have made a public appearance together.
