But this will change since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 narrative director, Ben Arfmann, and advanced writer, Brittney Morris, confirmed during an interview with Gizmodo that Miles Morales will lead the Spider-Man franchise of Insomniac Games in the future instead of Peter Parker. Moreover, the ending of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 teased that it would happen with Peter Parker staying at home with MJ while Miles Morales went out as the sole protector of New York.

Miles Morales debuted as Spider-Man in 2011 in Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4, which is relatively new. So, the fanbase is emotionally more attached to Peter Parker as Spider-Man than Miles Morales.
