It has some steamy scenes between George and King James I, played by Galitzine and Tony Curran respectively. And while filming one of those scenes, things took a turn, physically.

Speaking with nowtv, Curran was asked if something had happened during filming which viewers would never be able to guess watching the final cut. Answering the question, he narrated the incident where he headbutted Galitzine during an intimate scene and injured him seriously. Curran said:

“I headbutted him and Oliver [Hermanus] was like, ‘Alright what happened? Is everything okay? Is he okay? What’s happened to George?’ And Nick was like…’He f***ing headbutted me!’”

Curran hilariously commented on the incident:

“It’s dangerous with King James in the old bedchamber. You have to very very careful.”

Thus Nicholas Galitzine ended up bleeding in bed during an intimate scene and was not very impressed with it.

Nicholas Galitzine is a star known for his commitment to the craft. He’s slowly cementing himself as one of his generation’s best talents. Doing projects like Red, White and Royal Blue, Mary and George, and Purple Hearts among others, the British actor has teased just what skills he has up his sleeve. His versatility is a bonus to his killer looks and phenomenal acting skills. He has expressed his interest in doing a project set in Ancient Greece.

But for the time being, Galitzine seems to have enough on his plate with promotions and projects. He is starring opposite Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You, which is another steamy piece of media with a romantically complex plot.

This film is causing some controversy in social media spaces due to the age gap between the two actors and presumably, heavy nudity. But as long as content will be consumed, it will be created. The actor seems to be having a full schedule and fans want nothing more than to see more of him.
