After being chopped from the superhit animated series X-Men ’97 (SPOILERS FOR WHOEVER STILL HASN’T WATCHED IT!) it sounds like the fan-favorite Remy LeBeau will soon be gracing fans’ eyes once again. Except that this time, he won’t be animated, but would be a live-action character played by Channing Tatum!

As magnificent of a surprise as this may be, fans will reportedly finally get a live-action appearance of the Ragin’ Cajun in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. This comes after recent reports about the upcoming film which reveal that Tatum will, at last, get to play the character that was taken away from him almost a decade ago, and his role won’t be restricted to just a cameo either!

Channing Tatum Reportedly All Set to Debut as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine

This is not a drill. We know that fans have waited for yeaaars just to have this dream come true, especially after they were left heartbroken knowing that Channing Tatum‘s solo Gambit film was canceled. But as unbelievable as this news may seem, an insider has reported that this long-awaited wish of fans is reportedly finally happening.

According to recent spoilers from industry insider Daniel Richtman about the soon-to-be-released Deadpool & Wolverine (via @DanielRPK on X), Tatum will reportedly be appearing as Remy LeBeau in the movie. Yep, sounds like our wait of all those years paid off, for at last, we just might end up seeing Tatum in the fan-favorite role.

This comes after the massive rumors and speculation that surrounded the Magic Mike actor’s debut as LeBeau in the upcoming film for quite some time. In fact, as we previously reported, Tatum’s message for Hugh Jackman — which read “Letttsss gooo daddy!!!!” — was one of the many things that had fans hoping they could finally get Tatum in the Marvel Heroes league.

What’s more, insider Daniel Richtman has further reported that The Vow actor would not be appearing only for a cameo role. As it turns out, even though his role would not be a major one, it would still be a lot more than just a seconds-long or a minute-long cameo, considering how Richtman claims he would have a “decent role” in the film.

But Tatum isn’t the only actor for whom fans had been campaigning to see, and whom fans might reportedly end up seeing as well. Besides him, Dafne Keen, who played her iconic role of Laura Kinney/X-23 in Hugh Jackman‘s last movie as Wolverine, Logan, will also be reportedly returning to reprise her fan-beloved character.

Plus, Dafne Keen‘s role would also not be minute but a decent one, so fans can somewhat rest assured that they would get to see their heartiest wishes fulfilled through not only cameos, but considerably significant roles. And, as expected, this news has fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe celebrating it as a massive, massive win!
