Further, the non-profit organization that was dragged into the rumor clarified that Gibson is not the producer of any of the upcoming documentaries about child sex trafficking from the organization.

Tim Ballard, founder of Operation Underground Railroad, earlier appeared in a video saying that the non-profit has been developing various film projects, including a documentary that many believe is the referential source of the recent rumor.

Clarifying that, Ballard recently said, “I stand by every word I said in the video circulating around social media.”

“Mel is a personal hero of mine and called me back in 2022 with valuable intelligence regarding children who were rumored to be vulnerable to human traffickers in Ukraine. Using that intelligence, we went to Ukraine, where Operation Underground Railroad, Aerial Recovery Group, and The Nazarene Fund were successful in beginning the process of dismantling a dangerous international pedophile ring,” said Ballard in a statement.”

Ballard added that the Braveheart actor “deserves all the credit for taking the initiative to further the critical work that we do.” But he clarified saying that the reports of this four-part docuseries “is actually being produced by Mr. Gibson are not accurate.”

Ballard confirmed that the docuseries is being produced by Nick Nanton of DNA Films, and includes several executive producers such as Kyle Cease, Tony, and Sage Robbins along with several other wonderful and talented people.
