Justice League, the 2017 film starring Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, was and is still the subject of multiple controversies, many of which center on the director, Joss Whedon. For the unversed, the film’s original director, Zack Snyder, had to step down from his position due to the tragic death of his daughter.

As a result, Whedon took charge of the project to rewrite the script and re-shoot scenes with the original cast. But this drastically altered Snyder’s original vision, leading to largely negative reviews from both fans and critics.

“I was shaking trees as soon as it happened. And I must say that the heads of Warner Brothers, they took care of it. Going back to the sense of righteousness that I have…you’re dizzy because you can’t believe this was just said to you. And if he says it to me, then obviously he says it to many other people. I just did what I felt like I had to do. And it was to tell people that it’s not OK.”

During her appearance on Israeli television, Gadot once claimed that Whedon threatened to ruin her career. Additionally, the Wonder Woman actress expressed support for one of her Justice League co-stars in an interview with the LA Times.
