Seth Rogen on Being Reluctant to Be a Part of Marvel And DC

Seth Rogen is bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in his latest feature, for which he also serves as a producer and a writer. The actor recently sat down with Polygon to talk about his upcoming series and also shared his plans for more comic book adaptations.

During his interview, he also shared the reason he has not worked with Marvel and DC after he was asked about the factor that turned him off from working with these popular franchises. And The Fabelmans actor has said that the fear of process has held him back.

It’s a fear of the process, honestly. And I say that knowing nothing about the process. There are a lot of Marvel things I love,” he said. He further stated that the studios already have an established system that works for them. However, franchises like The Boys are gearing up their own process without “plugging into someone else’s infrastructure and process.”

He has earlier stated that Marvel Studios is doing great work and has great movies under their banner. But he still doesn’t watch MCU movies or shows, as he believes that they are aimed toward children and don’t have something that interests him.

Fans Suggest Seth Rogen Stick to His Decision

Seth Rogen has worked on several comic book adaptations and his work mostly includes mature content-based projects like The Boys. Considering that he has had a good run making the same content, fans have suggested the actor stay away from Marvel and DC. One fan mentioned that they would rather have him working on shows like The Boys and Invincible instead of joining the MCU or DCU.

Others also suggested that he might have issues working with Disney and Marvel as they surely would not opt for the type of comic book adaptations that he has worked on so far. While some fans suggested that he could work on some DC projects, others stated that he does not need the MCU and also suggested he stay away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
