She will release a memoir titled The Woman in Me which will unravel the different phases of her life and the drama that came along with it. One of the key chapters of the book would be when she and Justin Timberlake were dating in the late ’90s. The couple were both rising stars in the 90s, as a result, their relationship was widely covered by the media.
However, fans of the singer are pre-booking her memoir, after she dropped a bombshell confession stating that when she was dating Justin Timberlake, she aborted her child during their dating period. The news sent shockwaves over the internet. But the Mirrors singer is trying to ignore the aftershock of the confession made by Spears.
Britney Spears Drops an Earthshaking Confession
In an excerpt released exclusively by People from Britney Spears’ The Woman in Me, she stated that when she was dating Justin Timberlake, she became pregnant with her child. Getting pregnant at a young age was not a problem for her she loved him madly and hoped to start a family with him. However, Timberlake was not ready to become a father, as they were too young to take parental responsibilities.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Spears, now 41, writes of the pregnancy in the book. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
In the memoir, Spears mentions that if the decision were only up to her, she would not have aborted the baby, and she mentioned that the abortion was one of the most “agonizing things” that she has experienced in her life.
“If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father. To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”
While Britney Spears was upset with the abortion, Justin Timberlake has also reacted to the after-effects of the news as a source came forward to share how the singer is taking to the shocking confession made in the memoir.
Justin Timberlake is Ignoring The Shockwaves From Britney Spears’ Confession
While Britney Spears was traumatized, and took time to process the abortion of her child, Justin Timberlake was not concerned at all. Her confession sent shockwaves on the internet. As per Entertainment Tonight, they have reached out to the singer’s representatives, but they have not heard back from them, in the meantime, a source came forward stating Timberlake is ignoring the drama.
“Justin has been focusing on his own family and trying not to concern himself with Britney’s memoir. In recent years, Justin has tried to be supportive of Britney from a distance. They dated so long ago, but he still has respect for her.”
The source also mentioned that the couple wants everyone to grow and evolve instead of thinking about the past.
“Justin and Jessica just want everyone to grow and evolve instead of continuing to bring up the past.”
