The Jason Bourne star has also called him a “fantastic director” and has praised him for his work as an actor. However, when The Town star joined his friend’s rival Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show, he recalled the time Damon was envious of him. He shared that he has been friends with the Interstellar actor since he was 8 years old.

Both of them were very passionate about acting, and Affleck’s friend was furious when he landed an acting role before him. He said, “I got a job on TV. Like a PBS, cheesy educational show for kids.” While he said that it was “kind of lame,” it was enough to make his friend “boil with envy” and “burn with rage.”

Matt Damon’s Advice to a Freshman Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck also shared that he received advice from Matt Damon when they were in high school. He shared that he was a freshman and went to audition for a play, where he met his actor friend again. And with his explanation, it seems Damon was still upset over the role Affleck was offered earlier.

The Dawn of Justice star shared that Damon eyed him with a snarky look as he walked up to him and said, “Let me give you a little advice.” After this, the Elysium actor told him that things might not work out for him there as it wasn’t TV, “where you get by your looks and your haircut.” Damon then told him that Affleck might not have a chance as it was all about talent. “This is about talent. This is the theatre,” he told Affleck and walked away.
