Leaving a lasting legacy behind, Conroy is still revered as one of the greatest and even DCAU legends couldn’t help but agree. In an interview with CBR, DCAU legends Paul Dini and Alan Burnett sat down to talk about the future. During their talks, Burnett talked about Kevin Conroy and the lasting legacy that he has left behind for millions of fans to find comfort in.

“Well, he’s one of the few people who never… There was never a problem with him about anything. He was game to try anything we threw at them. I think that’s one of the things I loved about him.”

Burnett further revealed,

“And his voice, which I described as uncommonly powerful and warm at the same time. He could layer dialogue you weren’t expecting to be layered like that. He found a way of doing it.”

Well, it is indeed true that no one could replace Kevin Conroy. On the other hand, Hollywood actors Peter Weller and Jensen Ackles have also taken up the role of Batman in the DCAU. Although the charm of Conroy may not return, Weller and Ackles are doing pretty good in their own way!

Peter Weller is known around the world for portraying the role of RoboCop in the iconic RoboCop franchise back in the 90s. The actor has also voiced the role of Batman in the 2012 and 2013 films Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2.

After Conroy’s passing, people talked about how good Weller’s voice was and that he could be the next in line to voice Batman. On the other hand, The Boys and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles also took up the role in 2021 with Batman: The Long Halloween. Following his entry into the DCAU, Ackles has voiced the character over 5 different films in the DCAU!

So all in all, it seems that Peter Weller and Jensen Ackles may indeed become the new voice of Batman in the future. Considering how the DCAU plans to release its upcoming films, they might as well need all the help they can get.
