Former lovers Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged in an ongoing legal battle. Pitt dragged his ex-wife Jolie to court after she sold her shares of Miraval, a French company including a chateau and vineyard in South France.
Reportedly, the Babylon actor claims that the actress sold those shares illegally and he had no knowledge regarding this. This battle of the exes is currently trending on social media. As per the recent reports, the Bullet Train actor’s team reached out to Jolie’s legal team with an offer.
Angelina Jolie reportedly rejected Brad Pitt’s offer
As Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie both are standing strong against each other in court it would be exciting to watch who will come out with a victory in the legal battle. Both the parties are locking their horns inside the court in this legal matter but reportedly, Pitt wanted to put an end to this battle. An insider close to the 59-year-old actor mentioned that the actor had sent an offer to the 48-year-old actress. The Salt actress has rejected the offer which means this case will continue further. The insider said in his statement,
“It’s unfortunate that the other side continues to drag this out, regurgitating the same nonsense over and over again.”
A publication also stated that,
“Brad and team presented them with an opportunity to resolve the situation but were shut down.”
As per the recent filing in the court, the Gia actress’s legal team has grilled Pitt for his claim against the actress and his ex-wife. Fans are still intrigued to know more details regarding this case. The Fight Club actor and the Wanted actress tied in the knot on 23 August 2014 and in the year 2019 they were officially divorced.
Brad Pitt wanted to save the Miraval for his children
Reportedly, as per the Babylon actor’s claim, the actress took no consent from him before she sold her shares to another company. Other reports also suggest that Pitt was planning to buy Jolie’s shares himself so that Miraval stays in the family. He wanted to save it for his kids. The legal filing from the court reads,
“Through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt. Jolie knew and intended that Shefler and his affiliates would try to control the business Pitt had built and undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”
The lawsuit also claims that,
“Jolie sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”
Pitt and Jolie’s fans are coming up with many theories on the internet. Both the stars haven’t publicly commented on their legal battle. They are only talking through their legal teams.
