Yesterday, May 21, was the official release of Hellblade 2, the long-awaited Xbox exclusive that has become one of the real “next-gen” titles, according to some reviewers. However, like Dragon’s Dogma 2 at the beginning, the game has a core issue for players who want to play the title again: it automatically deletes your previous save to make room for the next new save that you are starting.
This has no real reason to be like this, because from years on, there is always a possibility to make several saves in a game if you want to begin again without affecting the save.
Hellblade 2 Should Make a Patch Soon for This Basic Problem
After almost five years since its announcement, Hellblade 2 is finally out and has made a very positive impression on many players. The game has become one of the most technically amazing titles of the past few years, harnessing the full power of Unreal Engine 5. Ninja Theory has also done incredible work with the sound design of the title, making the experience more immersive than ever.
Jessica Cogswell, a well-known editor across various media platforms, revealed on X that the game appears to lack sufficient space for multiple runs.
So you don’t understand the concept of New Story? I thought we been through this with Dragons Dogma 2 a couple months ago. Let alone all the games with this same feature for years now.

Once you begin Senua’s adventure again, the previous save will be permanently deleted, and you will no longer be able to access it. This is the second big title of the year to have the same problem; Dragon’s Dogma 2 will have the same impossibility at the beginning.
This Kind of Feature Should Be in Any Modern Title
There is no real reason to take this basic option from any modern game; this is part of the core features that any title should have. Since the PS One era of gaming, the possibility of playing a new game has existed. Any game that doesn’t have this feature is badly designed, at least in the user design characteristics of the title. Ninja Theory has not yet acknowledged this issue, so the concern should persist for a couple of days more.
The players’ reaction was similar to that of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 issue; the lack of multiple save slots for the game is highly inconvenient. According to the first big reception of Hellblade 2, the game resulted in a very solid experience that followed the steps of the first title with a similar story and mechanics. You will follow Senua through her journey, fighting this illness as best she can.
On May 21, the game became available for Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Game Pass. This is the first big Xbox exclusive of the year, with an amazing reception. The launch of this game paved the way for another project for Ninja Theory, the studio behind this incredible story of self-empowerment. On June 9, Microsoft will introduce the next big titles for this and the upcoming years, with names like Gears, Fable, and others.
