Since the launch of the Xbox Series S, developers have had many problems with the hardware’s limitations. Many studios have had to delay games because they couldn’t make them run well enough on this console. Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of these titles.

Ninja Theory, the team behind Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, has just confirmed that the game will run at 30 fps on both Xbox consoles. PlayStation fans heard this and began to make some memes about it, saying that Hellblade will run at 60 fps on the PS5 Pro next year. Will Xbox launch Hellblade 2 on PS5?

The PS5 Pro may run Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 at 60 fps, according to some passionate PlayStation fans who don’t believe that this title will be available only on Xbox

With every new game, the power limitation that the Xbox Series S has makes studio development very hard. Almost every AAA game studio has struggled with this hardware. Microsoft strategy in theory works perfectly, but at last, all the limitations have made the studios work even harder to launch a game on all platforms.

Microsoft had tried to change this, but it was too late; the console is out, and the devs are not happy at all with the extra work. Various have even been delayed, just the Series S. With even more AAA games that look incredible, this will keep happening with this hardware, and devs will have to work with it until the generation is over.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is one of the latest titles to have the Series S curse. Ninja Theory has just confirmed that this game will not have a physical release. The game will only run at 30 fps in both Series S and X. Despite the initial announcement of HB2 in 2019, nearly five years later, the exclusive game remains unreleased.

The power limitations issue may have delayed the launch of this game. Some PlayStation fans are speculating about the odd move of not launching this title in physical form; this could mean that Microsoft doesn’t have that many expectations regarding sales. Some fans even joke about this game reaching PS5 Pro and running at 60 fps in the future, and with Xbox exclusives making their way to the PlayStation, it’s not such a ridiculous thought.

What will Xbox do with the exclusive titles?

Xbox Series S hardware limitations has make things difficult for developers.

This limitation will keep happening, and the current Xbox scenario is not the best. They decided to make several exclusive games launch on other platforms, like Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment. Microsoft really needs a win; this will probably mean that in the future, the PS5 will have some Xbox exclusives to make more sales and not lose that much money with every launch.

Phil Spencer has commented on the possibility, but he is always very critical about it. It will be a tremendous loss for the Microsoft ecosystem, especially for the owners of these consoles.

As for Sony, the same strategy applies to the consoles. After the successful launch of Helldivers 2 on PC, which sold better on that platform than on the PS5, The Japanese company is to double down on launching exclusive games on PC.

This strategy has made some fans angry, but the majority has no problem with it. It is a thin line that separates the exclusive games of the consoles launching at the same time on PC. If Sony takes advantage of this in a good way, they may end up winning even more.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
