It has been a rough two days for the Helldivers 2 community and the developers, as a recent announcement was released regarding players who use the gaming platform Steam to access Helldivers 2 and all its glory. The announcement left many PC gamers in an uproar.

The developers stated that from May 6, any new player will have to link a PlayStation account to their Steam account to gain access. Those who already own the game, have until May 30 to link their accounts to continue playing the game, but this has caused a lot of issues in the community.

One of the hardest parts of being a developer is holding your tongue against all the comments players have about the game you are working on, whether positive or negative. It is hard to hold back your personal opinions.

One developer on the official Helldivers 2 Discord seemed to have finally had enough of the complaints from the community as they began to issue numerous statements that left many gamers both shocked at their outburst and in support of their comments.

During this unfortunate meltdown, the developer in question, Spitz, had a few choice words for a select number of gamers who were causing distress for the community management team in the Discord channel, but after saying some rather problematic things, they issued an apologetic statement explaining themselves.

Throughout the apology post, Spitz explains that they sadly let the negativity get the best of them as it managed to get under their skin, but their comments about changing your review rather than harassing the hard-working employeesthe  at Arrowhead Games Studios were entirely genuine, to the point that they even explained that they aren’t happy about this account linking decision either.

This Could Have Potentially Been the Final Nail in the Coffin for This Specific Developer

After this entire debacle began to come to an end and the Helldivers 2 developer issued their apology to the Helldivers 2 community, there has also been the potential for this developer to have left the official Discord channel and to make matters worse, potentially even more than we can even think of.

The response from the developer is rather unprofessional to the point where it nearly reached the level of childishness. There may have been even larger reactions than we can even fathom, as it seems the developer has vanished from the Discord channel at this current time, potentially fired.

Why would Spitz say something so horrible?

So far, we do not know as to whether or not things have gone as far as this, but we do know that gamers have taken the suggestion from Spitz and focused more on review bombing rather than harassing the staff in an attempt to hurt Sony as well as Arrowhead Games Studios.
