While most players will not bother as long as they get to kill a ton of bugs, one Helldiver seems to have had a moral awakening. In a Reddit post, they posted a meme where they wondered whether the Helldivers were the bad guys.

Shower thought: We are space Nazi’s… We gassed a whole planet.

This was followed by a host of hilarious exchanges where users kept adding to the already ridiculous comment. One added, “Took his own life with two shots to the back of his head and stuffed himself inside of a locked duffle bag move on citizen“. Yet another continued, “Also he fell off the balcony.” to which another user added, “Twice“.

The general theme of the comments was light-hearted and funny yet sticking to the point that managed democracy seemed to be tinged with a flavor of fascism, even if only against bugs. Some users got to debating whether it was the bugs that were the fascist ones while another group of users shot down the idea by saying that would be giving the ‘mindless’ bugs too much credit.

Helldivers 2 Keeps Roaring On

Despite the, erm, fascist allegations, Helldivers managed to secure the planet of Tien Kwan in blistering speed which led to the devs working overtime to manage the servers.

In other news, the propagators of managed democracy might also be in line to receive fiery guard dogs in the near future, according to some rumors. Riding firmly on its gravy train, the popular game by Arrowhead Game Studios seems to be in no mood to stop.

With more players joining the battle on the side of Super Earth on a daily basis, Helldivers 2 is already poised to take over from Palworld as the most popular entry in the gaming industry in 2024. The popularity of the game has skyrocketed so much that fans are not just content with playing anymore as lengthy discussions are taking place regarding the lore and backstory of the game in community forums. That is when they are not wondering about upcoming updates and speculating about rumors.

Whether the devs would take to answer the question of the Helldivers being the bad guys remains to be seen. But iF the movie Starship Troopers is any example, the bugs are most likely the bad guys.

Do you think that the Helldivers 2 players are space fascists? Do let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments.

I travel. I game. I write. In no strict order.

The single biggest lie told all around is, "It isn't that simple." It is simple, everything is. And that is what I emulate in my writing. No unnecessary jargons and no flamboyant flourish. Just what's needed to get your imagination going. After all mind has no limit, unlike the written word.
