Helldivers 2 was a pleasant surprise from Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment which did incredibly well in the live service space of gaming. However, like every other multiplayer game, it will rely on new ideas and features to spice up the gaming experience.
The franchise shares plenty of similarities with other shooter games and it will be hard not to notice the gaming community suggesting ideas that they inspire. Some players came up with an idea that seems to be ripped straight out of Activision’s Call of Duty that would fit in the game.
One Call of Duty Feature Could Work on Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is suffering from a severe case of content drought that prompted a few players to quit playing until the developers can resolve all the issues and make the game entertaining again. The studio has proven its resilience countless times and this minor setback will be laughed about in the future.
Laser guided
And a C-130 “spooky” type variation , for when you just gotta dig in and going backwards just isn’t an option.
Be able to tell eagle one which direction to approach from would be nice due to terrain. Sometimes the bombs hit the cliff but if you told her “north to…

Johan Pilestedt is counting on player suggestions to give the game the push it needs and it seems like he found it. The idea to manually laser the target zone for the incoming payload is ingenious and could up the stakes even more.
Eagle strikes are effective but not all the time. There are a few terrains that wouldn’t make the stratagem all that useful and it would be more convenient if the players could throw a flare or laser in the marked area themselves and provide instructions to the pilots.
The community has caught some spectacular moments that require teamwork, timing, and a few eagle strike stratagems that could pass as a real explosion for an action movie. Fans even campaigned for a live-action film adaptation and replicating this scale of epic and carnage.
Helldivers 2 Should Give the Players More Freedom
Killstreaks are a positive way to see how well a player is faring in a game, other competitive live service games have them and it gives them an edge against the opponents and Arrowhead Studios should consider having one. Players are complaining about the overwhelming number of hostiles and rather than reverting, the developers should give the players more firepower.
Being able to direct in which direction the birds are coming from would drastically improve the odds of the players who are stuck between a rock and a hard place. These offensive stratagems can only do so much damage if the area is perfect for a bombing run.
Giving the players enough freedom will grant them a greater feel for immersion and give them the illusion of being in complete control of the situation. The missions are known for being chaotic and a disaster, a manually lasered offensive stratagem would make it much smoother.
