However, like any live-service title, not all fans are satisfied with the game. The community is active and they have discovered how the studio’s CEO made a mistake. Johan Pilestedt, the game’s director, stated that it will never transmog, but players point out that it already does.

Behind all live-service titles, there is always a community eager to receive new content. The one from Helldivers 2 is very active and mostly receptive to changes and missions. Since the game’s launch in February, the player base has only grown, and the objectives are always changing to bring new content to the game.

However, as with any game, not all fans will be satisfied. On X/Twitter, there was a discussion about how fans were constantly asking for a feature for some skins of the game. To this end, the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, Johan Pilestedt, gave fans a rest from every speculation. Pilestedt said:

We are not doing transmog. It doesn’t make sense – equipment looks different because it has different effects. Swapping one for the other is like having an apple that tastes like bacon or the other way around.

Fans were asking about transmog some skins; this means to change the appearance without affecting the stats. Pilestedt confirmed and was very final that this would not happen. However, fans have pointed out that this is not the case.

Helldivers 2 Fans Are Always Ready to Prove a Point

Johan Pilestedt's declarations were debunked by Helldivers 2 fans.

Back on Reddit, a user proved that the declaration of Pilestedt was debunked because the game has already made transmogs with some skins. The Reddit user YorhaUnit8S showed a picture with variations of the same skin without any change in their stats; this proved that Helldivers 2 already has transmog.

Other users and fans mock the words of Pilestedt, referring to how he was very contradictory. In the end, the community will always look for a new way to prove a point. It doesn’t matter if it is useful or not; they don’t want to be wrong.

I love this game and respect devs, but this excuse if just not working

Helldivers 2 will seemingly add new enemies in the future, and the rumors are growing every passing day. The possibilities are enormous, especially with the Automaton army almost completely defeated.

Players are waiting for new stratagems like the Recon Vehicle or new mechs; the studio has not revealed anything about them. The future is bright for this title which keeps growing its player base with more than 300,000 concurrent players daily.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
