Many big updates are coming to Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 but it is not enough for some fans. A lot of players love the Railgun in the game thanks to its superior range and firepower but this one player has suggested that Arrowhead can improve the weapon by making these certain changes.
Recently, another player shared some fan-made missions that basically commanded the players to destroy the Automatons and the Bugs by destroying their core base. These fan-made assault missions got a lot of attention on social media, in fact, Arrowhead boss, Johan Pilestedt also acknowledged it, revealing that they had plans to add such missions initially.
A Helldivers 2 player suggested some changes to Railgun
A Reddit user named khoisharky recently posted a diagram on the r/Helldivers subreddit suggesting some changes that Arrowhead can make to the Railgun to make it much more powerful. As per this suggestion, the Railgun should have more penetrative abilities, allowing players to take out enemies with ease. The gun was nerfed recently but many players still prefer to use it on the battlefield because of its exceptional abilities.
The Railgun is already very powerful and these changes would take things to the next level. Its abilities make Railguns the ideal projectile-based weapons system. Some players have claimed that this takes away the realistic nature of the game but it sure is fun on the battlefield. These guns have a Safe and Unsafe mode and this player has provided players with a detailed diagram to explain how this buff would affect the enemies in both of these modes.
Fans would also like to see these assault missions in Helldivers 2
A mock-up concept made by a player named ThePengu recently went viral on X. These imaginary assault missions suggest that players could destroy the Automatons and the Bugs by destroying their core base. The concept was liked by a lot of fans and it got so popular that Arrowhead’s boss Johan Pilestedt replied to it.
Pilestedt revealed that they had plans to add these types of missions to the game when they were first working on the game. He didn’t reveal why these missions were scrapped but using this idea again would certainly attract a lot of fans. As of now, the Helldivers 2 community is braced for the introduction of the game’s third faction, the Illuminate. It is quite impressive that in just less than 3 months, Helldivers 2 has managed to become one of the most popular games in the world right now but this is only the beginning as Arrowhead has many plans for the game.
Helldivers 2 is available on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
