The merch drop might seem like it’s coming at an odd timing for some people, considering the list of complaints that have recently emerged from the game’s community after the release of mechs and the new patch.

However, CEO Pilestedt of Arrowhead Studios wants people to know that his team is always looking toward implementing the next best thing into the game. Their main priority is maximizing the player experience and enjoyment while remaining on-brand with the Helldivers name.

In a recent interview, Pilestedt emphasized the game’s evolution, stating that it’s designed to continually expand, with grand plans for the future.

Of course, the specifics are kept under wraps to surprise and excite players, but the studio is actively seeking feedback from the community to drive ongoing improvements and additions. The interview revealed that feedback plays a crucial role in the development process, and there’s a massive list of improvements that the studio has sourced from players that they plan to implement.

Pilestedt’s passion for Helldivers 2 shines in his interviews; at the start, he wanted to create a game where players would want to work together against common enemies, without it feeling forced.
