Helldivers 2 has a lot of weapons for players to take on enemies and help them complete varied missions across planets. The updates in the game have buffed or nerfed the weapons, which have proven both helpful and sometimes also left Helldivers helpless in their fight for democracy.

Players are now looking for a change to Hellbomb that could make it really overpowered in the game and, in turn, make the game very easy. While some say this is a good idea because it could make things fun, the majority of players think it’s not worth it and will ruin the game.

Hellbomb is a stratagem in Helldivers 2, just like it was in the previous game, and it is only provided to the players when they are close to their target and there is an order for a building to be destroyed. While it can be done by any other means, the stratagem cannot be called whenever.

There are a few mission objectives where players get to use the Hellbomb stratagem, including Destroy Fuel Reserves, Destroy Stockpiled Ammunition, and Destroy Research Base. When players are near the location, they need to enter the Hellbomb stratagem code to activate it.

One Helldivers 2 player has suggested that there should be a change to the stratagem. They said that if the players miss the code on the Hellbomb, it should immediately explode, killing the Helldiver. Now, as fans have said, this will soon become “the optimal thing to do.”

Players have also said that this change would make several things easier in Helldivers 2, such as taking down gunship buildings. One player conveyed all other fellow Helldivers’ feelings, saying, “Would make those cancerous gunship factories sooooo much easier to deal with,” and user Deverey added, “That’d actually be pretty practical and funny.”

Players Are Divided on This Hellbomb Stratagem Change

Players are not really onboard with this idea for several reasons.

While many players are in favor of this change and said that they would like it if it happened, a fair number of them don’t want to see that happen. One player said this would defeat the point of having to arm the stratagem, while another questioned the OP, saying, “So, you’re saying if you fail to arm the bomb, you arm the bomb?”

Players have also said that it would also become a “kamikaze exploit” for players, ruining the experience for others. One player said they disagreed with this and mentioned the reason that it would not be designed that way by the developers.

Another player said that players would start abusing it, but it would be fun to see in the game. There is a lot of discussion on this topic, but fans opposing it for the reason of abuse sounds about right, as there are already enough things that other players sometimes do that ruin the experience.

It would also frustrate players soon if they kept missing the code, deviating them from their objectives. What are your thoughts about this Hellbomb change in Helldivers 2? Let us know in the comments!
