Automatons and their assaults on Super Earth and other planets continue to plague Helldivers 2. However, the Helldivers community is not letting that happen at any cost and is always on their toes to drive them away.
Come a Major Order, and Helldivers assemble in no time. This has happened multiple times since the game was released. The spirit of Helldivers was seen recently when around 70% of the player base showed up to fight the automatons.
Another such instance of the devotion of players towards the game was seen recently when the developers announced its latest Major Order.
Latest Major Order in Helldivers 2
Arrowhead Games Studio just a few hours ago put up a new Major Order in Helldivers 2. It called Helldivers for the extermination of two billion Terminids going into the weekend. It gave players a time frame of about six days.
Usually, Major Orders in Helldivers have shorter durations depending on how long it could possibly take to complete. Interestingly, this recent Major Order which game players time until Tuesday, April 23, was one of the longer ones.
Helldivers! After the successful defensive on the Automaton front, E-710 reserves are running critically low. So grab some extra mags, get those Orbital beacons ready, and call up Eagle-1..

The devs intended to give players enough of time to crush as many as two billion Terminids, and almost six days sounded like a fair deal. However, the fans couldn’t wait that long and got the job done within half a day.
It is believed that there is a good reason why developers decided to release a Major Order of killing Terminids instead of addressing the current Automaton threat. Reportedly when Terminids die and decay, they transform into the oil-like substance known as E-710. This substance is used to fuel both war efforts.
Additionally, after the most recent battle against the Automatons, E-170’s reserves are also currently low. Thus the recent Major Order of killing Terminids just ahead of an Automaton invasion was a fair way to have new E-710 farms on Hellmire, Estanu, and Crimsica.
2 Billion Terminids were destroyed in just 12 hours
Although Arrowhead Games Studio’s latest Major Order gave players a reasonable six days to get rid of two billion Terminids in Helldivers 2. Players clearly couldn’t wait that long. The Helldivers 2 community went on to complete one of the longest Major Orders in under 12 hours.
Notably, the sheer speed at which the assault on Terminids was carried out did not allow a lot of Helldivers to even participate. Several users on social media expressed how the Major Order was done and dusted even before they could take part.
How did people kill 2 BILLION bugs in 12 hours?! I didn’t even get to participate!🤣

The enthusiasm of players was challenged and activated right from the moment Helldivers made the initial announcement on X. A user ‘OverlordTenji’ replied to the post saying, “That will get done by the end of the day.”
Within just eight hours, 50% of the job was done by players. Players were seen destroying millions of Terminids in a matter of minutes. Around 10 hours after the initial announcement a user reported that 95% of the two million had been destroyed. “This was a joke. By the time I got home from work, it was 95% done. Come on Joel, 2 billion, at least act like you’re trying to give us a challenge,” they wrote.
The devs intended to give players a challenge for the weekend, but with Major Order already cleared even before the weekend starts, the Helldivers 2 community is now left waiting for the next big challenge.
