A user recently posted on X, arguing that missions with a difficulty of seven or higher should not allow the use of stronger weapons, thereby preventing the inclusion of new players in these missions. Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead Game Studios CEO and game director, replied, saying that this will never happen. He even shared how he feels about noobs.

The Helldivers 2 community is always eager to suggest new enhancements and changes for the game. Sometimes these pitches aren’t that positive for the players. However, there is always room for discussion and finding a common ground for trying new strategies. The CEO of the game’s studio recently responded with advice that was not particularly supportive of new players, and this is not good for the community to grow.

On May 11, a user on X posted about the idea that he has to separate new players from veterans. He asked for a strange solution that would make new players unable to use stronger weapons.

According to this user, the idea is to make these weapons available only to players who are willing to access missions that have difficulty seven or higher. To make this pitch more real, the user also mentioned Johan Pilestedt.

Johan Pilestedt Enjoys Carrying New Players

Pilestedt, the studio head behind the game, responded to this pitch, saying that it is important that everyone play together. He also mentioned that he enjoys carrying out noob players in the game; he even said that is a good feeling for a high-tier player. Other users replied to this, backing the CEO’s words and even justifying how this would be very counterproductive for new players who were looking to enjoy the game.

Helldivers 2’s extreme difficulty, which only a squad can overcome, is one of its key features. The entire galaxy made it almost mandatory to play co-op for the chance of surviving democracy spreading all over the galaxy. While the stronger players are used to the system, new players are able to play without worries thanks to how the game is thought about, letting any kind of player enter your mission at any point.

The Artic Patriots Warbond, the newest addition to the game, features new weapons, armor, capes, and more. There is even a new possible SMG meta that is very effective against the stalkers of the Terminid army. The community of the game is trying to go back to normal after a week full of debacles, negativity, and bad decisions. Players want to keep enjoying the game without further issues.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
