The patch 01.000.300 brings several adjustments, fixes, and improvements to help players on the battlefield, such as balance changes to multiple weapons, stratagems, and enemies, as well as changes to missions, but the most notable update with the patch is the reduced headshot damage.

Previously, armor was not preventing any damage upon headshots, whether players had armor with a 0 rating or armor with a 200 rating, and this frustrated players. Helldivers 2 players have been constantly nagging the developers to fix this, as they have been getting headshots left and right.

However, the latest patch has fixed that, as now armor with an armor rating above 100 will have reduced headshot damage. This will surely make Helldivers happy who have been feeling helpless due to the headshot damage and would freely be able to take on Automatons and Terminids.

There are several other changes made to the game with the newest patch, such as the burning damage, which has been reduced by 15 percent. Moreover, the victory poses will now only play for the extracted, and there are also balance changes to existing weapons and stratagems.

The Latest Patch Also Adds Changes to Enemies and Patrols

The patch update has reduced the moving speed of Bile Spewer and Nursing Spewers, whereas the force required to stagger hulks has been slightly increased. The direct flamethrower damage of Hulk Scorcher has been reduced by 20%, and the standard devastator fire rate has increased.

The Gunships sideways movement has now increased a bit, and Scout Strider Riders are now a little less vulnerable to explosions, so players need to do more than blow them up to take them down. Fog generators health and armor have increased, and gunship spawners now have a much lower limit on active gunships.

The patrol spawning has also increased if there are less than 4 players, so the fewer the players, the harder the fight is going to be. However, the developer has mentioned that there is no change for 4-player missions, but solo players will notice changes at “higher difficulties.”
