Last week, Helldivers 2 players thought that they had eradicated the Automatons and moved one step ahead in the fight for democracy. Players were expecting that the new faction, The Illuminate, would soon be added to the game, but it turned out that it was just an Automaton vanguard.
It was revealed that the bots have returned and have begun an attack on Cyberstan and nearby planets. Although the Illuminate is not coming to the game yet, it seems like Helldivers 2 may soon be getting much more chaotic with something even the best warriors of democracy are not ready for.
Helldivers 2 Is Ready to Change the War Like Never Before
Players have been battling it out in Helldivers 2 against Automatons and Terminids to wipe them off the planets and save Super Earth. These factions are tough to end as Automatons keep killing the forces of humanity and the Terminids keep multiplying, but it seems like the game is ready to turn the tide now.
According to what players have seen during the battle, it seems like mixed planet battles may be coming to the game. Players have spotted Terminid bodies on Lacaille Sector’s Lesath planet, which is filled with Automatons. This suggests that the Automatons and Terminids are invading more planets and maybe fighting amongst them.

Players think that both of these factions may not be going against each other, or they might be planning to team up and attack the Helldivers together. This will lead to players tackling both factions at the same time, which would be truly chaotic. What’s more interesting is that players were wondering about something happening like this, and it may turn into reality.
This also makes sense, as, despite the speculation and leaks, there have been no hints from Arrowhead about Illuminate joining the fight yet, and the developer may be working on testing Helldivers more before they throw a new enemy faction in their way of liberating Super Earth.
Helldivers 2 Fans Are Excited for a 3-Way War
Fans have said that this is the biggest hint that has been seen so far in Helldivers 2, and mixed battles are coming soon. Several other players also said that they too have noticed the Terminid bodies and bones, and this is an “interesting development.”
Players also said that there was a transmission saying Termind invaded Menkent, which may have been a bug, but it may also not be. One player couldn’t control his excitement seeing this and said, “3 way war. 3 way war. 3 way war,” while another added, “They probably will be teaming up. The world map looks like it’s headed that way.”

One fan said that it would be amazing to see Terminids and Automatons fighting each other for territory and players fighting to push them back. While there has been no official confirmation from Arrowhead on this, players are excited about the prospect of it all.
