Anya Chalotra Did Not Use Any Body Doubles While Filming the S-X Scenes

Being the leading lady of the show headlined by Henry Cavill, it wasn’t easy for Anya Chalotra to stand out. But her exceptional talent in portraying a bold woman stole the show. The sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg was an interesting character to follow from the beginning, in addition to already portraying a complicated character, filming nude scenes was also added the the list of hurdles Chalotra had to overcome. And to everyone’s surprise, the actress did not even flinch a bit to give it her all. Although provided with a body double, Chalotra didn’t feel the need to use one as she stated, in the Metro UK interview,

‘I had a body double for the s-x scenes, and she was always there. Flora.–But I didn’t, I only used her for the first s-x scene because I realised very quickly in that first s-x scene that actually, I didn’t feel comfortable anyone else portraying Yennefer, because it’s still acting isn’t it?’

Portraying Yennefer accurately was her top priority and thus in turn she did not feel comfortable compromising the authenticity even for a bit with the exception of one scene. No matter how daunting the task, the actress took it upon herself to portray the scenes genuinely and with honesty and it got through to the audiences.
