Back in 2017, Marvel Star, Adam Scott talked about inviting the former to his birthday party which didn’t happen.

However, he eventually got his belated birthday gift in Hamill’s style as he made a surprise appearance at his interview.

Adam Scott is best known for his role as Ben Wyatt in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation and Mark Scout in the Apple+ series, Severance. However, he is also known for being a great Star Wars stan since an early age which is how his birthday party story came up. During a 2017 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which was guest hosted by Kristen Bell, the former recalled an instance when he invited Mark Hamill on his second birthday.

“I believe it was my second birthday party, and I believe it was Empire Strikes Back coming out. I mean, I remember everything about that whole season around when Empire Strikes Back came out, and so I wrote [Hamill] a letter inviting him to my birthday party.”

However, the young Scott was unable to meet Hamill at the time. When asked if he believed that the Avatar: The Last Airbender actor would arrive at his party, he responded, 

“I did,” adding, “I thought at least, if he got [the invitation], and he was able to, if his schedule was clear, he was probably gonna come.”

While Hamill did not graced the birthday party at the time, he made sure to make up for it and the surprise the former got was quite unexpected!

While The Aviator actor was recounting his tale, Star Wars music suddenly started playing in the studio. The next moment left Scott overwhelmed as Mark Hamill emerged from backstage holding a lightsaber. Scott was astonished to see his idol as he stated, “No f—ing way!” 

Meanwhile, The Last Jedi actor made sure to make amendments with Scott for missing his second birthday party. 

“I’m sorry I missed your birthday,” Hamill said. “I checked my diary and that week I had two other birthdays, a bar mitzvah, and a supermarket opening.”

As the duo hugged one another, Scott made sure to convey his true feelings to the iconic actor.

“This is, this really is one of, one of the best moments of my life.”

The 50-year-old actor himself is making a strong portfolio by making his entrance into the superhero world. He is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel-Sony movie, Madame Web. The new movie is set to release on Feb 14, 2024.
