Pokémon is an anime franchise that has managed to gross an estimated $88 Billion dollars. A feat that no other franchise has ever even come close to matching, making this anime the highest-earning media franchise ever.
It has been a running series now for just over 25 years and recently covered the end of Ash and Pikachu’s journey after they finally manage to become the world champions.
Even the combined net worth of Star Wars ($46.7 Billion), Marvel ($32.1 Billion) and DC Extended Universe ($7.76 Billion), which comes out to be nearly $86.56 Billion is not enough to compete with what Pokémon as an anime franchise has managed to accumulate over the years.
One major reason why it is such a successful franchise is because of its longevity, it is a series that millions have grown up watching and has a rich merchandise fanbase, with a few of its branded trading cards often going for millions.
