Digging more about the armor; James Stark chose to follow a more ominous look for the suit leaving it to look more like his father’s prototypical model instead. The reports from ScreenRant states;

“In every other way, his armor surpasses Tony’s first suit, and a great many of the subsequent ones, meaning the similarity end with appearance. “

The report suggested that he survived the attack from Thor followed by his fight with Captain America and his allies. The update just goes on to show how much damage the newly debuted Iron Man armor can withstand. The report also noted that James Stark’s armor/suit was not strong enough to withstand the new Avengers, but it did allow him to stand against them on his own.

James Stark looks at the armor as a way to ‘move on’ from Tony Stark’s legacy

ScreenRant‘s reports suggests that it has been revealed that Tony Stark had been preserved and apparently kept ‘alive’ following his supposed death. James Stark in the books is often witnessed visiting whatever remained of his genius father to get ideas that led to the creation of uniforms for Iron Cops and essentials of the fascist government.

It should be noted that James Stark did not work with his father or use his mind to create his newly debuted Iron Man armor, which goes on to show that he possesses the same talent as Tony Stark. Despite his initial refusal to use Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit, it serves as an added motivation for James.

“He sees it as a way to leave his father’s legacy behind and doesn’t want to give up now that he’s had a taste of what it can do.”

It also meant that the new Avengers might be up against someone who is just as smart as their founding members, which means that the fight won’t be easy. ComicBook.com reports James Stark lashes out at Steve Rogers and blames him and the old Iron Man (his father) for H-day adding;

“You and others like my father—painted the world as black and white, heroes and villains but then you brought us H-Day. The day the world woke up and realized there was no line between vigilante heroes and media-dubbed heroes. Unparalleled destruction by all, but the death count fell mostly to Dr. Bruce Banner…the Hulk.”

Steve Rogers, after listening to James Stark, recalls that it was Ultron who had exposed all superhero secret identities, enhanced a group of supervillains, and taken control of Hulk on H-Day. Rogers later asks James Stark if he is trying to tarnish the legacy of her parents so that he won’t look hollow in comparison.

Captain America sees glimpses of Tony Stark and Janet van Dye when he speaks to James Stark. He also recalls how they would pick fights with him and his old-fashioned ways. James Stark is the most powerful person alive in Avengers: Twilight #3. Growing up believing that his parents were little more than fools who spent their lives and time punching things, James believed that he was going to be the one saving the world.

Avengers: Twilight #3 is available from Marvel Comics.
