He has recently been in discussion regarding his estranged daughter with Katie Holmes, Suri. After being introduced to the church via his first wife, Mimi Rogers, he has been constantly associated with it. His dedication to the organization is also the alleged reason behind his severe marriage with Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman.
Despite all the claims made by former members of Scientology in an attempt to expose the organization, the Mission Impossible star’s reputation doesn’t seem to be too affected by his association with it. And the frustration about it seems to be crossing all limits as people start calling out the 60-year-old actor.
Tom Cruise’s Controversial Ties With Scientology
Tom Cruise has always been under the radar over his ties with the Church of Scientology. Although it doesn’t seem to bother him, as he has constantly supported the organization. While it is believed that Scientology was the reason he suffered from two failed marriages.
Despite his ties to such a controversial organization, the Top Gun star doesn’t seem to have any adverse effects. And one Twitter user pointed out the same after UberFacts asked, “What’s the worst crime a celebrity has committed that the general public has seemingly forgiven.”
In reply to the question, a Twitter user responded by saying that The Mummy star is one of the most influential members of “a cult with a history of r*pe, violence, and trafficking.” The user further added that he has been exploiting members “for slave labor and romantic favors,” and he still gets praised every day.
The tweet also mentioned how his wife [Katie Holmes] spent years just to escape and save her child from the Church of Scientology. And people agreed with the user, as they pointed out several controversial claims against the organization.

People soon joined in the conversation as it started on Twitter and pointed out the horrible things the Church of Scientology has been accused of. However, after their divorce, the children were reportedly sent to Scientology.
