Zac Efron’s upcoming film The Iron Claw tells the real-life story of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of professional wrestlers from Texas that had enormous success in the 1980s, leaving an indelible mark in the wrestling ring, as they popularised the Iron Claw professional wrestling hold.

The 17 Again actor is going viral as he recently appeared on Entertainment Weekly’s cover, and fans are in shock, as they double-check him because his physical transformation looks absolutely unreal. While his chiseled physique speaks for themselves, his uneven jawline is what got the attention of the fans. When Entertainment Weekly posted a clip of the actor, fans were surprised by his new look.

A fan was so surprised by Zac Efron’s transformation, that they felt they were hallucinating.

Zac Efron Talks About His Jaw’s Growth

During an interview with Men’s Health, Zac Efron stated how in 2013 he had a fatal accident when he was running through his house wearing socks. He slipped and hit his chin against the granite corner of a fountain. He lost consciousness, and when he regained his senses, his chin bone was hanging off his face.

Efron clarified that he had undergone physical therapy to recover. However, some of his facial and jaw muscles had to work harder to recover from the injury, especially his masseters. As a result, “The masseters just grew,” he says, shrugging. “They just got really, really big.” He added that he learned about Jaw Gate from his mother when she called him to ask if he had plastic surgery. While he appreciates his fans on social media, he avoids using it to survive in the long run.
