As per The Sunday Telegraph, Jacob Elordi took off for his home country, Australia to attend the upcoming Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA) on the Gold Coast on February 10. Ahead of the event, he was staying at the Clovelly Hotel in the city’s eastern suburbs when he got into an altercation with KIIS-FM employee, Joshua Fox. Fox, who is a producer for The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS-FM, approached the star with questions that infuriated the former.

The KIIS-FM employee detailed about his encounter with Elordi sharing that he asked the Saltburn actor if he could have some of his bathwater (referencing to the viral movie scene) for Jackie O for her birthday.

However, the situation took a wrong turn after The Kissing Booth star asked the radio producer to stop filming and delete the footage.

“I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence. And then Jacob kind of just flips and he kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat.”

Whereas, the New South Wales (NSW) Police are currently investigating the matter as a police spokesperson that a man was allegedly assaulted during the encounter.

Last year, the actor admitted that he was asked to audition for the Clark Kent/Superman role. While he did not name the project, it is quite likely that he was referring to James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy which is slated for a 2025 release. In an interview with GQ, he admitted being uninterested in playing the role citing a reason for his decision.

“I’ve always been told to say a rounded answer or my agent will get mad at me. ‘Anything can happen!’ And obviously anything can happen, but at this stage in my life, I don’t see myself having any interest in that. I like to make what I would watch, and I get very restless watching those movies.”

He added,

“Well, they asked me to read for Superman. That was immediately, ‘No, thank you.’ That’s too much. That’s too dark for me.”

While he refused to audition for the superhero role, David Corenswet ended up landing as Gunn’s Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan cast as Lois Lane. Meanwhile, Superman: Legacy is slated to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
