Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the late 1800s, before the events of the Harry Potter novels, and allows players to become one of the Hogwarts houses. The game features several iconic locations from the wizarding world and players experience life at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as they look to uncover a mystery.

The game has been highly praised for its vast open-world design, characters, variety of content, and more and it has also made Harry Potter film actors fans of the wizarding world again including Neville Longbottom actor Matthew Lewis.

Matthew Lewis was recently at the MegaCon Orlando where he talked to IGN about his love for the game when asked about it. Lewis said he Platinum’d Hogwarts Legacy and mentioned that he is a fan of the game because of the open-world and RPG elements, and more. He stated:

That is a game that would be my cup of tea, absolutely. Open-world, RPG elements… It being Harry Potter, because it became kind of a job, you have a kind of detachment from all the things.

Since I finished the films, I’ve not really engaged very much in the wider world of Harry Potter … [and] it completely reminded me why I became a fan of the books before I became an actor in the film. And I forgot about my day job and was able to just fall in love with the Wizarding World again.

Other than Lewis, Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton also played the game a few months after its release and loved the game as he got to go back to Hogwarts among other things.
