As the DCEU has come to its end with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, DC Studios is moving forward with a soft reboot bringing several new projects including Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. 

While the project is currently in its early development, casting is yet to be confirmed. But, House of the Dragon actress, Milly Alcock has made her way as one of the top contenders for the role as per reports. With rumors circulating about her becoming a frontrunner, several fan arts have emerged depicting her as Superman’s cousin.

In the comments section, the artist further explained behind creating Alcock’s fan art.

Meanwhile, another artist, Carlos Gonzalez shows Alcock in a Supergirl costume inspired by Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl from the Arrowverse and Kara’s version in the Injustice 2 video game. Alcock’s is the artist’s “Favorite Choice” to portray the comic character.

Last week, a report from Deadline surfaced about the casting for the titular role in the upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Her name was among the top three contenders to test for the role meanwhile the other two actresses were The Winchesters actor, Meg Donnelly and CODA actress, Emilia Jones.

While the director’s chair is still empty, DC Studios co-boss, James Gunn is set to be a part of the process. The report also mentioned that the character would likely make its debut as a cameo in a DC project. While the screening test is expected to take place within the month, Ana Nogueira has reportedly taken charge to write the script for the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
