His death has been listed as “natural”, and his death certificate listed “atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” as the official cause of the beloved actor’s death.
The certificate obtained by the outlet describes that Carl Weathers had been suffering from heart disease for years. Having spent 51 years in the entertainment industry, the actor had indeed lived a full life, however, he couldn’t beat the illness that eventually became the root cause of his demise.
Following his death, Carl Weathers’ family said that “he died peacefully in his sleep” after living an extraordinary life.
