Call of Duty nourished an era of competitive gamers, playing in open lobbies as they showcase their skills and how well attuned they are to the gameplay and knowledge of various maps but have gone a step too far with excessive cheating and exploits that even Joe Rogan can’t believe. The sports commentator is all about fairness and sportsmanship but after witnessing how players use dishonorable tactics and cheats to win is something he wishes to go away.

Unfortunately, cheating is everywhere and just in gaming, companies have taken preventative measures in the past but worked to no avail. Cheaters have discovered ways how to bypass the security of games where they can now produce certain mods that will give players specific advantages. It is sad to see well-respected franchises like Call of Duty be desecrated by this mischievous act.

Joe Rogan Believes Call Of Duty Is Broken

Call of Duty has changed for the worse when it comes to multiplayer.

In an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, he dipped his toes in hot water when he tackled the cheating situation of Call of Duty, but was blown away by how fast players can move in the more recent entries of the franchise.

It is seriously getting out of hand, a person behind the camera had to explain to Rogan and his guest, actor, and comedian Dan Soder, that these cheats could be purchased from a third-party entity and players can gain this on a subscription service-based method. Players are willing to pay extra for illegal gameplay enhancements with the risk of a potential ban.

The tension for games like these is high, especially in matches where players are fighting against those who are as skilled as them but it can have serious repercussions. Toxicity and trolling are at an all-time high as seen with Censor’s streams where he is plagued with cheaters and stream snipers.

Call To Action Against Hackers And Cheaters

Despite Infinity Ward's best efforts to combat cheating, players still finds a way in Call of Duty.

Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 developers implemented the use of an anti-cheating engine called RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, it is capable of detecting any unusual activities and as they take down the player, they also gain more information on how they do it before kicking them. Rogan also notes that it can get annoying to be eliminated the moment someone spawns and the same enemy eliminates them all over, as well as having perfect aim because of aimbots.

The developers themselves know how to have fun whenever they spot a cheater in a match and have a special way of making their presence known with Splat, while skydiving, the player’s chute will become disabled as they plummet to their demise. A pretty grim but hilarious way to call them out, but it will only be activated once enough evidence is collected and verified that a player is cheating.

While hope isn’t lost for a fair gaming community, others share Joe Rogan’s sentiments of wishing these cheating methods would disappear forever. Do you agree with Joe Rogan? Let us know in the comments below!
