Last Action Hero is a movie heavily based and packed with action and comedy and despite being a well-written script, the movie failed both in reviews and in the box office collection. The movie was poorly directed, and its marketing was also done poorly thus it became a critical failure. The movie was not enough to be a blockbuster and the movie kept hanging between a funny and an action film, and upon its release, it garnered many negative reviews and fan reactions as they were not convinced of the movie, as it failed to pick a genre.
