Ubisoft is finally launching the long-delayed Skull and Bones. This game, which focuses on pirates, looting, and ship battles was born from inspiration provided by Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Announced back in 2017, and despite several delays, next week gamers will finally see what Skull and Bones has to offer. This pirate title contains many types of ships, and in this guide, you’ll learn how to get the blueprints for the Bombardier Padewakang vessel.
How to get the blueprints for the Bombardier Padewakang ship in Skull and Bones
To find the best possible vessel to fight your way through the never-forgiving seas that are full of pirates, you will need to do some work. Skull and Bones offers players a pretty ship to begin with, but by moving across the waters, you can find blueprints to craft better and more powerful boats. A good offensive vessel for looting and destruction is the Bombardier Padewakang.
The first step to finding such a blueprint is to go to the Shipwright in Telok Penjara, which is the second-biggest pirate city in the game. This is located inside the Vast Sea region. This particular place is huge and separates the Red Isle and the East Indies. In this part of the map, you can find enemies ranging from levels 8 to 10, and some rogue waves that will appear spontaneously. Once you have reached Telok Penjara, the fast travel option is unlocked.
When you have arrived, you will have to go to the eastern part of this town and talk to the Shipwright. Among its many items, the blueprint for the Bombardier Padewakang will be available. This blueprint costs 5,280 silver and you need to be in the Brigand Rank to purchase it. Apart from the blueprints, you’ll need various materials to fabricate this offensive vessel that will let you destroy your enemies.
What do you need to craft this great ship?
Once you have the different blueprints for new ships and equipment, as with many other games that have RPG mechanics, you will need materials to craft these objects.
Ships, in particular, require a considerable amount of material to be crafted, and for the Bombardier Padewakang you’ll need to add some silver. The shipwright who sold you the blueprint will assist you in fabricating this ship. You will need the following materials and silver to get the job done:
- 2,880 Silver
- x4 Shallac
- x4 Crude Saltepeter
- x15 Steel Ingots
- x15 Fine Ramie
- x18 Ironwood Planks
The Bombardier Padewakang is a medium-size ship that is mostly useful for offensive-style combat. One of the best aspects of this vessel is that it has a 70% chance of causing an explosion when it shoots another boat, and if the ship is already in flames, it will 100% cause an explosion. With a blast radius of 125 meters, it can deal 1,000 damage to the target. The features of this ship increase damage to structures by 20% and the weapon radius by 15%.
Skull and Bones has more than 10 ships to choose from, and according to Ubisoft, more will be added later. There are three types and sizes of ships, which include: Navigation, Firepower, and Cargo. As for the sizes you have: Extra Small, Small, and Medium. The team behind the game has many content plans for throughout the year, with four seasons confirmed that will cover all the first year of content.
The future content will add many ships, weapons, and enemies from all over the world, all focused on endgame material for Skull and Bones. You will likely see raids and other missions that have to be done with friends. Several pirate lords will be available to confront and win very rare loot and items. The firepower and defenses of your vessel will be key to defeating these enemies, who will not hesitate to sink your ship and steal all your precious cargo and loot.
Skull and Bones will be available on February 16 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in the Epic Games Store.
