Even with his success post his role in the Harry Potter series, Pattinson admitted that he found it challenging to work with Emma Watson. While their on-screen rapport seemed absolutely normal, behind the scenes, Pattinson was highly impressed by the actress’ acting skills and her aura.
Robert Pattinson Was Intimidated by Emma Watson
Harry Potter enthusiasts have often speculated about a potential romantic connection between Robert Pattinson and Emma Watson. While the actor has always maintained silence on the matter, he did acknowledge being intimidated by Emma Watson while working on the Harry Potter film.
The actor also shared his experience working with Watson in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Despite being intimidated by Watson’s presence, Pattinson had nothing but praise for the actress.

“She (Emma Watson) is really, really cool. She seems so much older than she really is. I find her quite intimidating. I always find myself trying to impress her. She’s very, very clever.”
Whether the actors remained in touch after their collaboration in Harry Potter remains unknown. However, at the 2018 Golden Globes, the duo was seen together, sparking speculations of a potential affair. Pattinson has always refrained from speaking about the rumors.
After their collaboration in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, both actors have gone their separate ways. While Pattinson went on to star in the popular Twilight series, Watson continued with her portrayal of Hermione Granger until the final Harry Potter film.
Robert Pattinson Once Forgot Emma Watson’s Name
While it’s not difficult to recognize Emma Watson, given her worldwide fame after the Harry Potter films, it seems that Robert Pattinson had a tough time remembering her name on the set.
In a video from the set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pattinson’s only appearance in the franchise, he can be seen struggling to recall Emma Watson’s name, while Watson appears astonished. A voice from behind the camera can be heard asking the actor about the name of the actress next to him, and Watson can be heard saying,
“Come on, get my name right. Don’t do this to me! What’s my name? He doesn’t know my name. What’s my name, Rob?”
While some fans believe Robert Pattinson might be pulling his co-star’s leg, others joked that it was Watson who wrote Cedric Digory’s death scene in the film.
