Prior to 2023, most fans knew Greta Gerwig as a terrific actor, but following the immense success of Barbie, she is now one of the most sought-after directors in the industry. The film, set in a fantasy world, grossed more than $1.4 billion at the box office.
This year is undoubtedly going great for Gerwig as apart from delivering one of the biggest hits of all time, she also tied the knot with Noah Baumbach. The couple had been dating for 12 years before recently getting married.

If Greta Gerwig is well-respected in her field, so is her now-husband Noah Baumbach. The 54-year-old was also part of Barbie as he co-wrote the film with his wife.
Speaking of writing with her, Baumbach confessed in an interview with ABC (via People Magazine) at the 2020 Academy Awards that he always tried to impress the Barbie director when they were working together.
She’s made me a better person and a better writer. When we write together, I’m always trying to impress her. I feel like I write better because I work at it harder, I want her to be impressed.
Baumbach also shared his views on getting nominated for an Oscar for the 2020 movie Marriage Story, while simultaneously seeing Gerwig being nominated for the same for her work in Little Women.
Honestly the whole thing is surreal and amazing and I feel like we look at each other all the time and think, ‘Is this real? This is crazy, this is amazing.’
At the end of the day, Gerwig and Baumbach are the definition of a power couple in today’s generation.
Considering the immense success of Barbie, despite being released at the same time as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, the couple may get nominated for a couple of awards at the 2024 Oscars as well.

Working in Hollywood is one thing, but Greta Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach are living that life. The now-married couple met back in 2010 on the set of Greenberg.
However, they waited until 2011 to start dating. At the time, Gerwig was just 28 years old while Baumbach was 42 years old, but that didn’t stop them from falling in love with each other.
After dating for 12 years, the couple married at New York City Hall. It’s possible that the marriage featured only close friends and family. Otherwise, the media headlines would have been full of stars attending the ceremony.
Even before getting married the couple had already welcomed two boys into their family. While their eldest son is four years old, they were blessed with a baby boy earlier in 2023.
