One Piece Cast Tries The Spice Challenge

During the release of the One Piece Live-Action Adaptation by Netflix, the streaming platform was fully hyped up to promote the series throughout all of its social media handles. They even got the creator Eiichiro Oda himself to promote the series and bring all the One Piece fans together. They also uploaded a bunch of funny promotional videos on their YouTube channels featuring the cast of the series so the fans could learn more about the cast and get to know them better. One of the funniest videos uploaded by Netflix was the spice challenge video titled: “Can The One Piece Cast Handle Spicy Candy?” where the cast of the series tried a bunch of spicy candy to test their spice tolerance and see who was the best at handling their spices.

The Best reaction from the video was of Godoy who was too confident in himself and thought being a Mexican could help him in handling the spices easily but his confidence was shattered very easily.

Iñaki Godoy Fails The Spicy Candy Challenge

At the start of the challenge, Godoy sounded very confident in himself and he mentioned the fact that he is Mexican and he grew up with spicy food and if he can’t handle the spicy, he may be very disappointed in himself. As the video moved forward Godoy, Rudd, Skyler, and Romero tried a bunch of spicy candies. They were doing okay in the first few rounds but as the level of spice increased, the cast started to feel the heat. Godoy was very confident in the beginning and through the first two rounds, but as the third round started Godoy was the first one to feel the spice and his eyes started watering.

He admitted that earlier he was too confident about the spice but now it has got to him and how he should have never spoken too soon. He even admitted “I am sorry Mexico that I disappointed you today.” His reactions to the spice were hilarious. In a lot of ways, Godoy’s reaction was similar to Luffy’s in such situations.
