The actress shared that she injured her ankle while filming The Matrix but stayed tight-lipped about it to ensure she wouldn’t lose her job. Anne Moss again suffered a severe injury when she was filming the third sequel: The Matrix Revolutions, and this time she broke her leg while doing the high-wire stunt rehearsal. Reflecting on the injury, the actress told IGN: 

“I broke my leg on a wire. I broke my leg the first week of training. It was a challenge to overcome right off the bat. I came in really gung-ho and ready to do it, and then I got an obstacle given to me in the very beginning. But I’m all for obstacles to overcome. We trained for six months before we started training. I came to work every day and watched them train.”

Actors involved in The Matrix film series trained hard for months to learn martial arts techniques and complex wire-fu elements to portray the action segments of their respective roles. The Wachowskis-directed, The Matrix Revolutions stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Jada Pinkett Smith, Monica Bellucci, Lambert Wilson, and Mary Alice.
