Emily Blunt and John Krasinski‘s first date comprised everything but the ingredients for a romantic first date. The actor thought Blunt was completely out of his league anyway so why not sabotage his own chances before fate does it so? Thus, when the two first went on a date officially Krasinski thought it would be a good idea to take her to a gun range. All of those elaborate gestures were just to protect his delicate little heart from getting hurt in the end. He revealed,
“On our first date, I decided, ‘I’m gonna really hit the gas and bring her to a gun range. I think that I was so sure that I would never end up with her because she’d be like ‘this is rediculous I can have anyone not you’ that I was like, ‘You know what, I’m gonna blow it right away and then that way you don’t feel bad.’”
As fate would have it, things didn’t unfold according to his sabotage plans, instead, the two shared a delightful time together. Despite being immensely intimidated by her, the actor’s natural charm shone through and saved the day, captivating Emily Blunt. Even after the actor “yelped” like a little kid after pulling the trigger of a gun. And that was the first of many such weird dates.

As stated before, the two star’s story of first meeting each other isn’t as enhancing as people thought it would be. Emily Blunt rather deemed it to be boring on Late Night With Seth Meyers. She said,
“It’s kind of a sad, lame story. I was in a restaurant, he was in the restaurant. I was sitting with a mutual friend… This is our romantic comedy! This is it! Someone write it.”
She then continued to narrate the first meeting of my two by stating,
“And my friend Gray goes ‘Oh my god, that’s my friend John..’ And that was it. He was sitting with our friend Justin Theroux, and he abandoned Justin and came over to us. He just stood there and made me laugh. I kind of [knew right away.]”
The real-life off-screen Jim-Pam duo exchanged vows in 2010, and have remained inseparable since then. The countless public appearance and on-screen interview banter are what made people believe they are one of the cutest couples ever in the entire Hollywood.
