The invaluable treasure that belonged to Gol D. Roger and before that to Joy Boy, The One Piece, has taken fans on a 30-year-long journey through the perspective of the future Pirate King, Monkey D. Luffy, and his crew. However, even after so long, the Straw Hat Pirates and the fans have not been able to find the One Piece.

While the initial location of the One Piece treasure was revealed to be Laugh Tale, the last island in the New World, Gol D. Roger’s conversation with his crew after finding the treasure hinted that it may not be the place where the One Piece is, and it was certainly not the time period as they were too early.

Although the fans have spent decades theorizing the exact location of One Piece, there is one theory that might have cracked the code. While the theory feels a little flimsy, it does have some valid points and might very well prove to be true, as it will fulfill not one but three different dreams of the Straw Hat Pirates.

The Location of One Piece is Hidden in the Logo

There was a popular theory that stated that the reality of the One Piece treasure is hidden in the logo. According to this theory, the logo represented the various aspects of the One Piece treasure, and it hinted that the treasure was a comic book that was valuable to Joy Boy. While the theory had weight to it, it was filled with plotholes.

However, u/aGhost0800 on Reddit revealed that the logo of Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus does not signify the aspects of the One Piece treasure but actually the location. The theory states that the rope that wraps around and underneath the calm belt of the logo goes all the way back to the start. This signifies that the One Piece treasure might be located at the start of the journey.

Also, the “X” of the Jolly Roger is the location of the treasure, just like any other treasure map. Thus, it can be stated that the One Piece treasure is most definitely located at the beginning of the journey. This irony of the treasure would be enough to make the entire Roger Pirate crew burst out laughing.

Laboon Might Be The Key To One Piece

Not only does the theory hint at the location of the One Piece treasure, but it also talks about the exact spot where the treasure could be hidden. While explaining the logo theory, u/aGhost0800 stated:

But wait. Everyone’s thought of that, theorized it. But one thing I truly believe, after all this time… one last bit of “i can’t unsee it”

According to the user, the X in the One Piece logo that is marked by Luffy’s Jolly Roger is a hint to a creature in the series that looks just like it.

The creature is none other than Laboon, who is literally an island whale. As the rope ends in Laboon’s mouth, it could be the one protecting the One Piece treasure along with Crocus, who was a member of Roger’s crew.

There is a big chance that Laboon might be the one to take Luffy and his crew to the treasure, as they are destined to reunite at the conclusion. If this happens, Luffy will be able to become Pirate King, Sanji will finally discover All Blue, and Brook will reunite with his old friend. It fits perfectly and untangles a lot of hidden One Piece mysteries.
