Explaining the significance of having action stories as an action star, the 44-year-old actor talked about a secret WhatsApp group, at the Lincoln Center in New York. Not revealing much Kevin Hart still namedropped some of the biggest action stars in Hollywood who are part of this group. While his upcoming movie Lift was the sole purpose of the night, the Jumanji star shifted the focus to the star-studded effort meant to build a community of action lovers. Hart told PEOPLE

“Yup! Dwayne, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Jet Li, Jackie Chan. All the biggest guys. You know, we just talk about action stuff. “It’s a real secret chat, I shouldn’t be talking to you about this chat. I could get in a lot of trouble from the other action guys.”

While many know Hart as a comedian, he has also established himself in the action sphere with movies like Central Intelligence, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and A Good Day to Dog Hard. Furthermore, his great bond with Dwayne Johnson has also helped him shape as an action figure in Hollywood. He added,

“We just share action stories that’s the thing, when you’re an action guy, you have to have action stories so our chat is all about ping-ponging action stories and just making sure that everyone’s in sync you know? That’s what it’s about.”

The Ride Along actor implied that rather than being a fun group, it’s actually for all the action stars to be in harmony with all the current happenings of the genre.

Apart from Hart’s Lift premiere, Hart was also in the news for his reaction to Katt Williams’ comments on his comedy career. Hart, who has been nominated for the Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize for lifetime achievement in American humor, was recently insulted by Williams at the Club Shay Shay podcast. He criticized Hart for manipulating his career story, and referred to him as Hollywood’s “plant”. Williams said,

“He already had his deals when he got here! Have we heard of a comedian that came to LA?”

Hart’s feud with Williams began a decade ago in 2014, with Williams taking a dig at Hart’s comical skills and it has been going on ever since. The American actor’s simple response to William’s remarks took the internet by storm. Hart commented,
