Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara have been together since 2016, keeping their relationship mostly out of the limelight. However, the two always make sure to share the most significant moments of their life together, the most famous example being the time when the duo snuck out of the after-Oscar party to celebrate Phoenix’s Best Actor win with a smoke and burger.
In September 2020, Phoenix and Mara celebrated the arrival of their first child, a son whom they named River, in honor of Phoenix’s late brother. Earlier this year, Mara revealed her pregnancy at the Berlin Film Festival’s premiere of La Cocina in Germany, where she graced the red carpet in a strapless black gown featuring a voluminous skirt that accentuated her baby bump.
And it seems like their much-anticipated cute little bundle of life has finally arrived, much to everyone’s surprise.
