Perhaps the most controversial thing the reality TV show did was ignore the marriage troubles that Flavin and Stallone seemed to be having while the series was being filmed.

Furthermore, many have alleged that Flavin filing for divorce and Stallone covering two of his tattoos featuring his wife amidst the drama have all been publicity stunts (see The Guardian and The Daily Mail). Even while promoting the show, the couple who have been married for 26 years have kept mum about their alleged marriage troubles.

Being a reality show, it is natural that there is speculation of the show being somewhat staged and scripted. Regardless of the ongoing criticism, the show has managed to maintain a fanbase, and fans have been looking forward to what drama season two of the show brings.
