Helldivers 2 is the second-greatest success after Palworld. The game by PlayStation Studios and Arrowhead Game Studios sold more than 1,000,000 units in the first four days of its release. This title is the first-ever exclusive to be launched for the PS5 and PC at the same time.
However, it is not all good for the Helldivers 2 team; the game is facing a couple of issues with the server capacity due to the overwhelming number of players that want to play the game. The CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios is doing his part in the fight for democracy.
Helldivers CEO has joined the fight for democracy
PlayStation Studios’s new hit has made marvelous numbers for Sony. Helldivers 2 is the most successful online multiplayer game developed by one of PlayStation’s internal studios. The memes and different discussions about it only make this title more and more popular.
One of the best things that Helldivers 2 has is the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, Johan Pilestedt. This very charismatic person is doing his best to solve the server issue that the title has; in the meantime, he takes on all this situation with humor, and players love that.
Had some great games with randos! Did my daily part in protecting Ubanea… But I do expect it to fall soon. Cursed be the vile Automaton socialists!

Pilestedt is a very active person in X; with more than 45,000 followers, he is always trying to lighten the mood, so the players are not so focused on the issues. In a new post, he mentions that he is also doing his part to save the galaxy from the Automaton forces, but they are very strong, and the fight has cost the game another planet.
One of the mechanics in Helldivers 2 is to avoid the full occupation of a planet by the enemies. Players quickly respond with a lot of very creative replies, talking about server problems or just praising the effort to do their part for democracy.
Democracy will prevail
The critics for Pilestedt and Helldivers 2 are plenty, especially for the server issue; more and more players can’t play the game because the servers are always full. A promised fix is still a way off, and the developers are supposedly continually working to allow more players on concurrently.
The patches do not fix this difficulty, and for the moment, there is no permanent solution to it. Helldivers 2 keeps getting bigger and more difficult, and players love that kind of challenge.
Thanks to the incredible success of the game, Sony is aiming for a PS5 and PC release at the same time as other exclusive games from PlayStation Studios. The numbers projected by Sony are not what they wanted. This week, the stock market for Sony took more than a 10% dive. The Japanese company has not reached this low in a lot of years.
