The 2022 Oscars will be remembered as the most dramatic event of all time. It’s because, at the 94th Academy Awards, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock when he made an unsavory comment towards Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

However, it was intended as a joke, as he commented on her shaved head, comparing it to Demi Moore’s look in the 1997 film GI Jane.

The crowd was totally shocked, and some people thought it was pre-arranged, but it was not. Just a few minutes after this, Smith won the Best Actor Award for his role in the film King Richard.

The Men in Black actor nearly fought with Tommy Davidson about his wife, Jada Pinkett. In an interview on the Tamron Hall show, Davidson revealed that he and Pinkett starred in the 1998 film Woo. The comedian explained that there was a kissing scene between him and Pinkett. And for that, Smith later confronted Davidson. He said:

“He came into the trailer where me and Jada were and said, ‘I don’t appreciate that man.'”

The Booty Call star continued:

“And after a little while he was like, ‘I need to talk to you.’ So I was like, ‘Alright, let’s go outside and let’s talk.’ And then Jada was like, ‘No, no, no, y’all. Y’all ain’t gonna do that here.’ And I’m so glad she said that because he’s like this big.”

Smith has always been protective of his wife because he allegedly fought two renowned comedians over Jada Pinkett Smith. But these two were not the only celebrities he had fought with (over her). There were also other industry giants like Tupac Shakur (a famous rapper) he was jealous of earlier.

Besides Tommy Davidson, Will Smith also admitted feeling jealous of Tupac Shakur. In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, he confessed to being insecure about his wife’s close friendship with the late rapper. The Hollywood star said:

“They never had a sexual relationship, but now they had come into that age where that was a possibility, and Jada was with me. He was the image of perfection, but she was with the Fresh Prince, so it was, like, we were in the room together a couple times, (but) I couldn’t speak to him. He wasn’t going to speak to me if I wasn’t going to speak to him.

After Shakur’s tragic passing, the 55-year-old regrets not fixing his terms with the rapper. “That was a huge regret of mine,” he said.
