Mark Wahlberg’s struggle with addiction started at an extremely early age. The actor was only ten years old when he first got acquainted with drugs and alcohol. His brothers thought it was amusing to see their little brother frolicking around when Wahlberg would get high so they encouraged it even more.

“My older brothers taught me how to get high when I was 10, and gave me a couple of beers. They thought it was funny to see me stumbling around. A lot of my family is now in A.A. But I don’t blame anybody,” he stated. “I took it upon myself to take it to the next level. I was getting f***d up every day and committing violent acts.”

Although the actor does not blame anybody, he acknowledged how his childhood was not normal, being filled with delinquency and addiction. Wahlberg even ended up blinding a man when he was a mere teenager. Not only was the actor associated with stealing, but he was also allegedly selling marijuana while being addicted to cocaine.
